Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has spearheaded a groundbreaking initiative aimed at eradicating poverty in the state. Dubbed 'P4 Margadarsi - Bangaru Kutumbam', the programme seeks to connect affluent individuals with economically disadvantaged families.

Launched officially on Ugadi day, March 30, the initiative already boasts significant engagement with over 13 lakh families being adopted by 1.41 lakh mentors, or 'Margadarsis'. The ambitious scheme is designed to involve the top 10% of society in guiding the bottom 20% out of poverty.

Naidu emphasized the voluntary nature of the program and called upon the public to engage actively in uplifting the less fortunate. The scheme includes a comprehensive survey identifying 26 lakh needy families, with plans to recognize outstanding contributions in this fight against poverty.
