Andhra Pradesh Municipal Minister P Narayana has vehemently criticized the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) for spreading what he termed as baseless claims regarding the submergence of the greenfield capital city, Amaravati.
During a press briefing, Narayana dismissed the opposition's allegations, stating that the flooding was limited to agricultural fields in two villages. He explained that the water backup was a result of construction activities that temporarily obstructed a stream.
Reassuring the public, Narayana noted that measures to clear these obstacles are underway, and he expressed confidence in the swift completion of key city infrastructure, with employee housing expected to be finished by March next year.
