The Delhi government has unveiled the 'Delhi Mitra' app, designed to streamline the grievance redressal process for city residents. Officially announced on Tuesday after a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, the app aims to consolidate various complaint mechanisms into one accessible platform.
Once operational in two months, the 'Delhi Mitra' app will incorporate the existing Public Grievance Monitoring System, enhancing the ease with which residents can file complaints. Options will include a web portal, mobile applications, WhatsApp, and a call center to ensure broad accessibility, said the chief minister.
Gupta highlighted that this initiative is more than just a technological upgrade—it's a pledge to foster public trust through a new era of direct communication between the government and citizens. The system promises accountability and transparency, with nodal officers tackling grievances and public hearings scheduled every Wednesday.
