Three minors have been detained for allegedly killing a man in a confrontation in northwest Delhi's Ashok Vihar area, according to police reports on Tuesday.
Authorities responded to an emergency call on Monday, discovering an injured man in the Wazirpur Industrial Area. Despite being transported quickly to Deep Chand Bandhu Hospital, he was pronounced dead. The victim was known locally as Chandan, though more information on his identity is pending.
CCTV footage and local intelligence enabled police to identify and arrest the juveniles, all residing in nearby jhuggis. Investigations revealed a prior altercation preceded the fatal attack on August 18. A knife and bicycle used in the crime have been confiscated, with the case filed under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Efforts continue to uncover the full sequence of events and identify the victim's family.
