Tension Escalates Over Procession Route Dispute

Tensions escalated in the villages of Khajuria and Rahpura Chaudhary on Tuesday when locals opposed a chadar procession en route to the Ala Hazrat Dargah. Social media footage captured villagers shouting slogans and accusing the police of bias, adding fuel to the fire.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City), Manish Parikh, clarified that the procession was in accordance with a predetermined agreement between both involved parties. However, disruption attempts over the exact route led to warnings for those responsible.

The conflict appeared to be exacerbated by ongoing rivalry between current and former village leaders. Authorities are currently reviewing protest videos to identify participants, while a significant police presence remains in the area to maintain order.
