The Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh witnessed a shocking incident as police arrested an individual named Ravi in connection with the brutal assault of an Army jawan and his companions by toll plaza employees, officials revealed on Wednesday.
Ravi, a 19-year-old resident of Karnawal, became the eighth person taken into custody for this case. The arrest occurred late Tuesday evening, following a tip-off, according to the Sarurpur police. Ravi is currently being presented before the court.
The incident, which took place on August 17, involved Army jawan Kapil, who was heading to Delhi after vacation. The situation escalated when Kapil's car was delayed at the Bhuni toll plaza, leading to a violent altercation with toll employees, sparking widespread outrage after a viral video of the incident surfaced online.
