Authorities plan to present Rathod in court, marking the third arrest tied to this case. Previously, Ketan Kadam and Jai Joshi were detained, and the investigation saw involvement from Bollywood, with actor Dino Morea being questioned.
The case, initiated in May, alleges misconduct in tenders issued from 2017-2023 for desilting the Mithi river, a crucial stormwater drainage channel for Mumbai.
