In a disturbing case from Jharkhand's Palamu district, police have arrested two individuals for their involvement in a murder and attempted cover-up. On Thursday, authorities detained Janeswar Singh and his father Rajeshwar Singh, who stand accused of killing 20-year-old Manoj Bhuiyan over a financial dispute.
The case, documented at Lesliganj police station, reveals that on August 16, the Singhs allegedly strangled Bhuiyan and disposed of his body the next day by burning it in a nearby forest to erase evidence. The crime was uncovered following a police investigation prompted by suspicions and local reports.
The suspects have confessed to the murder and are now in judicial custody. Meanwhile, forensic experts will examine the charred remains, which police have collected from the crime scene, to provide further insights into this gruesome case.
