Satish Golcha, a distinguished 1992-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as Delhi Police's 26th Commissioner. The Ministry of Home Affairs made the announcement after SBK Singh's interim charge following Sanjay Arora's retirement.

Golcha, who took up his role as Director General of Tihar Jail earlier this year, will now lead Delhi's police force.

His extensive experience includes serving as Special Commissioner of Police in capacities such as Law and Order and Intelligence in Delhi and as DGP of Arunachal Pradesh.
