Activist Anjali Damania has voiced serious allegations against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Dhananjay Munde, accusing him of orchestrating the disappearance of a critical file. The file reportedly contained a report on corruption complaints within the Maharashtra agriculture department during Munde's ministerial tenure.
A written communication from the department confirmed the file's absence, prompting officials to request its return from the former minister. Although Dhananjay Munde was involved with another portfolio in the more recent government, he resigned earlier this year following an aide's arrest in a murder case.
The developments unfolded when the Lokayukta heard the case, and a Deputy Secretary verified the file's documentation trail. The Lokayukta has demanded a written response from Munde, whose comments on the matter remain unavailable.
