A daring heist unfolded in Vivek Vihar when a gang disguised as CBI officials allegedly made off with Rs 2.3 crore, according to police reports.

The incident involved Manpreet, a businessman from Indirapuram, whose office served as the crime scene. He recounted that Rs 2.5 crore were his business earnings stored at the location. On August 19, Manpreet instructed his confidant Ravi Shankar to transfer Rs 1.10 crore to his residence.

As Shankar exited the office, four assailants, including a woman, accosted him, claimed CBI affiliation, assaulted him, and seized the cash. The robbers then coerced entry into the premises, attacked an employee, and escaped with the remaining money. Police inquiries led to the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of Rs 1.08 crore.
