In a significant digital push, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Monday instructed officials to extend government-to-citizen services to WhatsApp, dovetailing with the state's 'Aaple Sarkar' portal.

At a review at his official residence, Fadnavis emphasized forming village clusters to tailor services to local requirements and called for dedicated teams to ensure prompt service delivery. Highlighting transparency, he proposed reducing documentation and independent audits.

Fadnavis also urged the standardization of dashboards across zilla parishads, municipal bodies, and universities for consistent citizen interaction. Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar suggested appeals within the delivery system and multi-modal service access, with 997 out of 1,001 services already live on Aaple Sarkar.
