In a tragic incident in Sidhi district, Madhya Pradesh, a woman head constable was allegedly murdered by her husband, police reported on Tuesday. Savita Saket was bludgeoned with a baseball bat following a domestic argument about cooking.
The crime occurred on Monday night at their home within police quarters. Her husband, Virendra Saket, is currently on the run, with authorities making concerted efforts to apprehend him. Senior police officials, including Rewa Range DIG Hemant Chauhan, visited the crime scene while a condolence meeting was organized in Savita's honor.
The victim's body has undergone a post-mortem, and her funeral has been conducted. Meanwhile, her daughter, Anchal Saket, has called for the death penalty for her father, expressing her incapacity to forgive him for the crime. The weapon used in the crime, a baseball bat, has been recovered by investigators.
