Bihar Congress Stages Protests Over Controversial Land Allocation for Power Plant

Bihar Congress launched a protest march in Patna, targeting the state's deal to allocate 1,050 acres of Bhagalpur land to an industrial house for a power plant at negligible cost. The protest was led by state Congress chief Rajesh Ram.

The protest began at Sadaqat Ashram and concluded at Bans Ghat, where protestors voiced their concerns through slogans. Rajesh Ram labeled the land deal as a 'gift' to the industrial house and promised that a new government under the Mahagathbandhan would annul it.

Ram also highlighted the exploitation faced by farmers in Pirpainti, alleging coercive tactics used to acquire land, and criticized the NDA government's approach, asserting it prioritizes industrial interests over those of local communities.
