Gunpoint Drama: Lawyer Faces Threat Outside Kolkata Home

A lawyer in South Kolkata's Netaji Nagar found himself at the center of a terrifying ordeal when a group of men allegedly threatened him at gunpoint outside his home. The event unfolded on a late Wednesday evening, prompting immediate police intervention.

According to reports, the victim, identified as Dipayan Ghosh, along with another lawyer, lodged a complaint against Jayanta Ghosh and his associates. They accused the group of making threatening phone calls over a dispute and later showing up outside his residence with a firearm, aiming to intimidate him.

The main suspect, Jayanta Ghosh, has since been apprehended after a hospital altercation where he reportedly attacked a police officer with a surgical scissor. A suo motu case has been launched by Netaji Nagar Police Station to investigate the incident thoroughly.
