The incident is reported to have occurred in the Miran Sahib area on the Ring Road, where Traffic Police SSP Farooq Qaiser was tasked with alleviating a traffic jam. The altercation reportedly happened during this operation.

In response to the backlash, SSP Qaiser expressed regret, labeling the incident as both unfortunate and unintentional. He emphasized his respect for the Sikh community and clarified that his actions were part of an attempt to regulate the traffic flow effectively.
