In a bid to avert road mishaps and combat crime, a specialized patrol initiative has been introduced on the national highway. This effort, described by authorities on Friday, aims to mitigate the risks posed by stray cattle and suspicious activities.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi explained that this operation will involve six patrol vehicles monitoring various stretches of the highway. Operating from dusk till dawn, the teams will ensure seamless traffic flow and enhance safety for commuters.
Additionally, police teams are tasked with dispersing cattle that could potentially cause accidents, as well as scrutinizing vehicles and roadside diners for any criminal activities. A WhatsApp group has been set up to facilitate swift communication among highway stations and senior officials, ensuring quick action against illegal mining or other concerning activities.
