The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has successfully resolved more than 9.03 lakh cases out of over 9.72 lakh filed since its establishment in 1985, marking a commendable disposal rate of 92.89%, an official statement disclosed on Friday.

Formed under the Administrative Tribunals Act as a result of the 42nd Constitutional amendment, CAT came into existence on November 1, 1985. It handles disputes and complaints related to recruitment and service conditions in public service sectors under the Indian government.

The tribunal, with a principal bench in New Delhi and 18 other benches nationwide, empowers aggrieved government employees to file applications. CAT's 10th all-India conference, focusing on improving judicial efficiency and justice timeliness, is set to feature top judicial figures and government officials.
