In what appears to be a brazen show of intimidation, masked gunmen unleashed a barrage of bullets at the MNR Buildmark's real estate office in Gurugram's Sector 45, police confirmed Friday. The attackers fired 25-30 rounds, leaving windows shattered and panic-stricken locals in their wake.
The chilling episode unfolded around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday as four to five assailants stormed into the building and opened fire before escaping, according to police reports. Property dealer Shravan Raheja lodged a complaint, prompting an FIR registration at the local Sector 40 police station. Authorities are scrutinizing CCTV footage and assessing a social media claim by gangster Deepak Nandal, who allegedly masterminded the attack.
This violent burst adds to a disturbing trend in Gurugram, following prior shooting incidents involving public figures like Haryanvi singer Rahul Fazilpuria and YouTuber Elvish Yadav. The ongoing investigation aims to unravel any extortion-related motives behind this spree of lawlessness, as highlighted by police spokespersons.
