Demolition Drive Targets Illegal Constructions in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal District

Authorities in Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh have demolished a marriage hall and a madrassa that were illegally built on land designated as a pond. The move is part of a broader anti-encroachment drive, according to officials.

Residents of Raa Ya village under Asmoli police station limits are involved in the self-initiated demolition of an illegally constructed mosque, after the district administration granted them a four-day period to remove the encroachment.

Superintendent of Police Krishna Kumar Vishnoi informed that despite a 30-day notice, no voluntary action was taken. Consequently, the administration proceeded with demolitions, aided by drone surveillance and public announcements.
