In a significant crackdown on drug-related activities in Rajasthan, former National Security Guard commando Bajrang Singh, who participated in the 26/11 anti-terror operation, has been arrested for masterminding a cannabis smuggling ring. Singh was apprehended late Wednesday night in Churu's Ratangarh.

Inspector General of Police Vikas Kumar announced the arrest, revealing that Singh was allegedly involved in transporting cannabis from Telangana and Odisha to Rajasthan. The operation, dubbed 'Operation Gaanjaney', successfully ended with Singh's capture while in possession of 200 kg of the substance.

Having served in both the Border Security Force and the NSG, Singh's descent into the illicit drug trade marks a concerning turn. His political ambitions and connections with criminal elements in Odisha and Rajasthan were pivotal in his illicit activities, but police vigilance and strategic intelligence sharing ultimately led to his arrest.
