Union Minister of State for Home, Jawahar Singh Bedham, asserted on Thursday that law and order in Rajasthan has improved significantly under the BJP government. Addressing the media at the BJP state headquarters, Bedham used recent NCRB data to highlight the decline in crime rates compared to the previous Congress regime.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, Bedham noted, the Rajasthan Police have been dedicated to their motto of fostering trust among the public and instilling fear among criminals. He cited decisive actions taken against lawbreakers as evidence of this commitment.
Minister Bedham emphasized that, compared to 2023, there is a marked decrease in major crimes in 2024, including a 13% drop in murder cases and a 20% decline in incidents of dacoity. Bedham criticized the Congress for allegedly misleading the public and failing to address crime during their tenure, urging their leaders to apologize and resign.
