The assault, timed with the solemn Yom Kippur services, drew strong rebuke from New Delhi. "We condemn the terror attack on the Heaton Park Synagogue in Manchester," stated Randhir Jaiswal, spokesperson for India's External Affairs Ministry. The attack coincided with the International Day of Non-violence, adding further poignancy to the tragedy.
