Tragic Dowry Death: Young Bride Allegedly Killed by In-Laws

A harrowing case of alleged domestic violence and dowry demands has emerged from Gopalpur village, as a young pregnant woman, Rajni Kumari, has reportedly been beaten to death by her husband and his family.

The 21-year-old victim, married just this April, was allegedly pressured by her husband Sachin and in-laws to provide a dowry of Rs 5 lakh for a business venture. When Rajni failed to meet this demand, she was subjected to severe torture, culminating in a fatal assault.

In a grim attempt to erase evidence, the accused performed her last rites clandestinely. Her mother, Sunita Devi, upon discovering the crime, promptly lodged a complaint leading to an FIR. Authorities are actively pursuing the arrest of the six accused individuals.
