CARA Forms Medical Grievance Panel to Improve Adoption Processes

The Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA) has taken a significant step towards addressing health-related concerns in the adoption process by forming a specialized medical grievance committee.

This committee has been instituted to scrutinize complaints raised about the health status of adoptees and offer policy recommendations aimed at refining the adoption framework. Comprised of three deputy directors from CARA's various divisions, the committee will be supported by an assistant director during meetings.

Operating under a short, one-month tenure, the panel will assess grievances and provide recommendations to the CEO of CARA. The initiative underscores CARA's commitment to safeguarding the welfare of children and ensuring robust adoption procedures within and outside India.
