Missile Chaos: A Night of Terror over Ukraine and Poland
Russia launched a mass overnight attack on Ukraine, killing at least five and damaging infrastructure. Poland scrambled jets in response. Ukraine's President Zelenskiy reported over 50 missiles and nearly 500 drones were used, as Russia intensifies attacks on Ukraine's energy grid amidst the approaching winter.

Russia unleashed a barrage of missiles and drones on Ukraine overnight, killing at least five people and damaging infrastructure across multiple regions, officials reported on Sunday. The western region of Lviv, near Poland, was severely impacted, with four deaths confirmed and a fire consuming an industrial park in the regional capital, contributing to city-wide power outages.
Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi advised residents to remain indoors as authorities tackled numerous fires. In southeastern Zaporizhzhia, a composite assault resulted in one death and nine injuries, leaving over 73,000 without power, according to Governor Ivan Fedorov.
Ukraine's Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko condemned the attacks as terrorist acts targeting civilians. Meanwhile, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy disclosed that Russian forces discharged more than 50 missiles and nearly 500 drones as they continue efforts to compromise Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
