In a significant breakthrough, Delhi police have arrested a 33-year-old man named Manoj for allegedly deceiving numerous job seekers by offering fake employment opportunities at the Delhi airport, an official confirmed on Sunday.
The arrest followed a detailed investigation prompted by a complaint on the NCRP portal from an RK Puram resident. The complainant alleged he lost Rs 20,500 to a fraudster posing as an airport recruiter, promising him a lucrative job with a monthly salary of Rs 35,000.
Manoj, who primarily targeted unemployed individuals seeking airport jobs, swindled amounts ranging from Rs 20,000 to Rs 25,000. Despite the small sums, many victims declined to report the scam.
