Sri Venkateshwara Agriculture University faced a security scare on Monday following bomb threats coinciding with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's scheduled visit. Police received an email claiming that RDX-based Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were planted around the university.

The threatening message sparked concern and mobilized the Tirupati Police, together with the Bomb Disposal Team and other security personnel, to launch a series of searches. The university's associate dean was also contacted regarding the threat early in the morning.

Despite the alarming nature of the threats, thorough inspections at the university and the helipad confirmed them to be a hoax. Security in the area remains heightened as a precautionary measure for the chief minister's visit.
