Clashes and Drones: The Battle for Pokrovsk
Russian sabotage groups are active in Pokrovsk, Ukraine's eastern strategic hub. The city is witnessing intense clashes on both ground and in the air. Ukrainian defenses, led by Dmytro Lavro, are countering these threats, with an increase in domestic drone and ammunition production bolstering efforts.

In the embattled eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk, Russian sabotage groups are intensifying their activities. According to a Ukrainian drone unit commander, Dmytro Lavro, fierce clashes are occurring both on the ground and in the sky as forces from both sides vie for control of this strategically important hub.
Lavro, a deputy commander in Ukraine's 25th Airborne Brigade, noted, "The enemy is putting pressure on us, and we are doing our best to repel them." The city's surrounding areas are being encircled in a classic pincer movement by Russian forces, highlighting the ongoing strategic pressure on Kyiv's eastern front.
Despite the relentless attacks, Lavro mentioned a significant increase in the use of Ukrainian-made drones and ammunition since 2023. This development is the result of Kyiv's concerted efforts to bolster its burgeoning domestic defense industry, enhancing the country's ability to resist the encroaching forces.
