Over the weekend, more than 200 trekkers found themselves stranded by a sudden snowstorm near the eastern face of Mount Everest in Tibet. Efforts to evacuate those affected commenced on Monday.
Sources familiar with the operations have confirmed that the evacuation process is expected to reach completion by Tuesday. However, communication regarding the situation remains limited.
As of now, the Tibetan regional government has not issued any official statements or comments regarding the unfolding rescue mission.
