Security measures along the Line of Control in Kashmir have successfully thwarted infiltration attempts by terrorists from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, according to a senior official from the Border Security Force (BSF).
BSF Kashmir Frontier Inspector General, Ashok Yadav, noted that modern surveillance technologies and constant vigilance have played critical roles in these efforts. Despite intelligence reports indicating that terrorists are positioned on the other side of the LoC, Yadav assured that the BSF and Army's strategic positioning has been effective in deterring crossings.
As winter approaches, security forces anticipate continued infiltration attempts but remain confident in their capacity to detect and neutralize threats. Intelligence indicates around 100 to 120 terrorists at launch pads, sparking concerns over potential alliances between groups like Lashkar-e-Toiba and the Islamic State, which are being closely monitored by intelligence agencies.
