A 50-year-old assistant sub-inspector with the Delhi Police, stationed at Tis Hazari Court, has died following a suspected heart attack, officials reported on Thursday.
The incident unfolded around 9.30 am on Monday as the officer, identified as Rajesh, began his usual shift, according to police sources.
CCTV footage showed Rajesh greeting colleagues and heading towards the seating area before unexpectedly collapsing. Despite being swiftly taken to a nearby hospital, doctors pronounced him dead. Heart attack is suspected as the cause, as per hospital authorities.
