Russia Criticizes Trump Plan as Incomplete
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov criticized U.S. President Donald Trump's Israeli-Palestinian peace plan for its focus on Gaza and lack of detail on Palestinian statehood. Lavrov emphasized the need for clarity on the West Bank. Russia expressed willingness to support peace efforts through regional contacts.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov voiced his concerns on Monday about U.S. President Donald Trump's peace plan aimed at resolving the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, highlighting its insufficiency in detailing Palestinian statehood.
Lavrov, speaking to reporters from Arab nations, pointed out the plan's focus exclusively on the Gaza Strip, while elaborations on statehood were too vague. He stressed the necessity to develop these ideas further, especially concerning the future of the West Bank.
This marked Russia's most explicit acknowledgment yet that it found the Trump initiative lacking substantial detail and scope. Nevertheless, Lavrov noted Russia's hope for the successful implementation of any agreements between Israel and Hamas that the plan encompassed. President Vladimir Putin reiterated Russia's readiness to support peace initiatives by leveraging its regional connections.
