A group of over 20 female staffers from a government school have lodged serious harassment allegations against a male teacher, accusing him of creating a hostile workplace.
The complaints were filed under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013. The women described a pattern of aggression, including shouting and threatening conduct, which culminated in a February incident involving intimidating close proximity and aggressive shouting.
School Education Director Nitish Singla acknowledged the receipt of an inconclusive report from the Internal Complaints Committee and noted a district-level inquiry is ongoing. The teachers insist on prompt action and interim protective measures underlined by legal mandates.
