Chairperson of the National Commission for Backward Classes (NCBC), Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, has demanded urgent action from the Jharkhand government concerning its overdue report on issues affecting the Other Backward Classes (OBCs).

The report, pending since July 2025, was supposed to address grievances from the OBC community. During a recent review meeting, Niranjan Jyoti pressed state officials for a swift submission of the document.

She highlighted the necessity for this report to tackle socio-economic and educational difficulties faced by the OBCs, noting that similar reports from other states have been received. The resolution of these challenges relies on the completion of Jharkhand's pending submission.
