On Tuesday, PDP leader Iltija Mufti visited the family of missing youth, Tanveer Ahmad Chopan, in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district. The young man reportedly vanished after allegedly being pursued by cow vigilantes, triggering district-wide tension and protests.
Authorities have formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and have arrested four suspects in connection with the case. The incident raises questions about community safety and law enforcement efficiency in the region.
Mufti, daughter of former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti, emphasized the need for a comprehensive probe and called for stringent actions against the perpetrators. She insisted that intensified efforts were needed to locate Chopan and bring the culprits to justice.
