Iran has carried out the execution of Mehdi Farid, who was convicted of espionage for Israel's intelligence service, Mossad, according to Mizan, the judiciary's official news outlet, on Wednesday.
Farid, who held a position in a civil defense unit within a sensitive organization, allegedly utilized his role to collect sensitive information and pass it on to Mossad, as reported by Mizan.
The Supreme Court upheld Farid's death sentence, which was executed after all legal procedures were finalized, Mizan confirmed.
