A white and blue balloon inscribed with 'PIA' and the Pakistan national flag was discovered outside a residence in Haryana's Sirsa on Wednesday, triggering a police inquiry. The balloon, shaped like an airplane, landed near a villager's animal shed in Kheri village, as detailed by Nathusari Chopta police station's Pardeep Kumar.
Police arrived swiftly at the scene upon notification, undertaking a thorough investigation. No suspect materials were detected within the balloon. Interestingly, this village is situated near the Haryana-Rajasthan border, adding to its intrigue.
A similar balloon incident was reported the same day in Himachal Pradesh's Chamba district, leading to an inspection by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mayank Sharma. The balloon was secured, and further probes are underway. Villagers report recurring sightings of such balloons across the region.
