In a major crackdown on illegal IPL betting, Kanpur Police arrested five individuals and seized Rs 3.91 crore in cash, along with betting equipment, on Wednesday.

The operation was coordinated through an illegal website and mobile app, Bethub24.com, leveraging a network of "master IDs" and sub-IDs for online gambling.

The investigation, led by Police Commissioner Raghubir Lal, revealed a sophisticated network that manipulated betting outcomes and settled large amounts through cash. Authorities are currently searching for the suspected kingpin.
