Two individuals in Noida have been detained for purported collaboration with Pakistani handlers, including ISI and associated gangsters. This arrest follows a probe by the Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) focusing on sleeper cells reportedly activated via social media platforms like Instagram.
The accused individuals, hailing from Meerut and Delhi, were allegedly in direct contact with Pakistani operatives, planning significant disruptive acts. As per ADGP (Law and Order) Amitabh Yash, these operatives targeted Indian youth, trying to incite them with financial incentives to engage in reconnaissance and possible terror activities.
During the investigation, it emerged that the detainees were asked to conduct surveillance on sensitive sites and were encouraged to initiate attacks on selected targets. A case has been filed under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Arms Act, and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, as police aim to further investigate this conspiracy.
