Neelam Gorhe Advocates for Victims of Firecracker Factory Blast

In response to the tragic blast at an unauthorized firecracker factory in Palghar district, Neelam Gorhe, deputy chairperson of the Maharashtra legislative council, has vowed to provide every possible assistance to the victims. The explosion, which occurred on April 21, claimed the lives of two workers and left several others seriously injured.
Gorhe visited the site in Konsai village, Wada taluka, and later met with the injured at the hospital to offer her support. She committed to advocating at the government level to ensure substantial aid for those affected. Her efforts will include submitting a detailed report on the incident to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
Expressing concern over industrial safety, Gorhe held a meeting with the police and revenue and labor department officials, underscoring the importance of stricter monitoring and enforcement of labor laws in units with more than ten employees.
