The city of Kolkata recently hosted a significant conclave celebrating ten years since the implementation of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016. Held on April 18, the event titled "IBC at Ten: Innovation, Reform & Emerging Challenges" brought together industry experts to assess the decade-long impact and discuss future reforms required for India's insolvency landscape.

Organized collaboratively by the Insolvency Professional Agency of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (IPA-ICMAI), the Association of Corporate Advisers & Executives (ACAE), and IP Net, the event saw participation from around 200 delegates. Among them were judiciary members, regulators, bankers, legal practitioners, and other key stakeholders.

Through expert-led sessions, the conclave highlighted topics such as asset restitution, aviation insolvency, and real estate insolvency. The event underscored the importance of continual reform to streamline processes and enhance value maximization within the insolvency framework, paving the way for future advancements and innovation in the sector.
