Chief Minister Hemant Soren of Jharkhand has distributed over Rs 9 crore as incentives to panchayat representatives for their commendable developmental work. At an event held at Tana Bhagat Stadium in Ranchi, Soren praised the participants for their efforts and stated that the awards reflect the government's commitment to rewarding exemplary performance.
During his address, Soren acknowledged the importance of these grassroots leaders, describing them as the 'eyes, ears, and nose' of the administration, and tasked them with enhancing village infrastructure. His vision included initiatives like deepening ponds, constructing soakage pits, and promoting rainwater harvesting and solar energy generation to ensure the well-being of Jharkhand's rural areas.
Soren stressed that a transformation is underway, with villages becoming stronger entities within the state. Highlighting the success of government schemes in eliminating hunger and lifting public trust, he encouraged officials and residents alike to give new direction to village development, mentioning a new MoU to enhance service delivery in panchayats.
