In a significant breakthrough, the Meghalaya Police have dismantled a vehicle theft network involving minors, successfully recovering two scooters near the Bangladesh border. This discovery has unearthed potential cross-border smuggling operations.

The operation began with a complaint from Ialong Civil Hospital, Jowai, about a stolen scooter. Following up on CCTV evidence, police identified a suspect vehicle, leading to the detention of five individuals, four of whom were minors.
