The Gurugram police have detained two individuals, including a director from an infrastructure firm, for allegedly defrauding investors via fraudulent real estate ventures tied to Aparna Ashram in Silokhera village. The arrests were confirmed by the police on Friday.
According to a statement issued by the Gurugram police, the Economic Offences Wing-2 apprehended Ashok Chaudhary, 60, from Delhi and Chandrakant Chaudhary, 40, from Uttar Pradesh, in Noida's Sector 62. The victim lodged a complaint on April 15, citing that directors and associates from CKC Infra Company misled him into investing in the purported real estate projects.
The investors were led to believe in the validity of the projects based on forged documents and deceptive assurances. Despite payments totaling approximately Rs 5.5 crore, no legitimate agreements were made, and no projects were initiated, as police investigations revealed. The land in question was already under legal dispute, owned by the Haryana government, rendering any construction or sales invalid. The police continue to interrogate the suspects.
