Odisha's Bold Digital Leap in Panchayati Raj
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched two significant online portals to enhance transparency in the Panchayati Raj system. In Bolangir, Majhi unveiled the 'e-Panchayat Sabha' and 'Panchayati Raj Survey' portals while inaugurating development projects worth Rs 580 crore. In a stride toward transparency and people-oriented governance, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi introduced two innovative online portals during National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations in Bolangir on Friday. The 'e-Panchayat Sabha' and 'Panchayati Raj Survey' platforms aim to invigorate the state's Panchayati Raj system.
Majhi also announced new development projects totaling over Rs 580 crore, including the establishment of a sugar mill, a textile park, and a new nursing college, to catalyze Bolangir's growth. The chief minister disbursed over Rs 200 crore to more than 50,000 beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana, while affirming the state's commitment to providing housing for the impoverished through various initiatives.
Highlighting the significance of National Panchayati Raj Day, Chief Minister Majhi called for active public participation and innovative thinking to enhance the Panchayati Raj system's dynamism, urging a revival of rural self-governance and democratic empowerment in Odisha.
