Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma emphasized the significance of effective governance as a cornerstone for state prosperity on Sunday. Speaking at the Rajasthan Gram Vikas Adhikari Sangh's felicitation ceremony, Sharma lauded the crucial role that village development officers (VDOs) play in rural progress, ensuring welfare schemes reach every societal level.

Sharma urged officials to actively engage in the 'Developed Village-Urban Ward' campaign and introduced the visionary 'Gram-2026' initiative aimed at modernizing agriculture and empowering farmers. Ongoing efforts to bolster water and power supply were highlighted, including the Ramjal Setu Link project, along with initiatives to provide farmers with daytime electricity.

The Chief Minister outlined strategic moves to enhance industrial investment, employment, and schemes supporting street vendors and women's empowerment. In support of the VDO cadre, new senior positions and promotion ease were announced, along with a hike in the gratuity limit. A high-level committee will address pay scale and promotion issues in the upcoming budget.
