A builder, Puneet Agarwal, finds himself embroiled in controversy, with legal proceedings initiated under the Goonda Act, sources reported on Sunday. District Magistrate Savin Bansal pursued this course of action following Agarwal's alleged assault on a DRDO scientist, Aniruddha Sharma.

The altercation arose when Sharma protested against illegal construction works that caused debris to intrude into his house. Agarwal's interactions have been mired in repeated instances of violence and public harassment, drawing the attention of authorities. As a result, Agarwal could be ousted from the district, officials stated.

Further complicating his case, Agarwal faces multiple FIRs under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for various offenses. A history of aggressive and intimidating behavior, including wielding a pistol at minors during Diwali, has previously led to the suspension of his arms license. Residents have also accused him of using offensive language and illegal land occupation, adding to the charges against him.
