A food delivery agent was shot dead in a shocking incident in Delhi's Jaffarpur Kalan early Sunday morning. The victim, Pandav Kumar, was struck at point-blank range during an altercation with an alleged police officer, Neeraj, police reports indicate.
The altercation saw Neeraj purportedly firing at Kumar, with the bullet striking his chest before hitting his friend, Krishan, who is now under medical care. While Kumar was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, Krishan is still recovering from abdominal injuries.
Family members have decried the incident as unprovoked. They gathered at the local police station, demanding Neeraj's arrest and justice for Kumar, who was the family's sole breadwinner. The police are actively investigating and searching for the absconding suspect.
