A man was allegedly caught impersonating a candidate during the Haryana Civil Services preliminary examination in Faridabad on Sunday, officials said.

Police identified the impersonator as Manav from Karontha village, who was taking the test for his friend Vishal from Medina village. Both have been detained by authorities.

The incident led to increased vigilance at exam centers, as 22,776 candidates appeared across 80 sites. Faridabad Deputy Commissioner Ayush Sinha emphasized zero tolerance for irregularities, ensuring tight security for future examinations.
